RE: Shipley Nature Center Field trip
Dear Parents,
Tomorrow is our field trip. Do not sent your child’s backpack to school. Remember to send a lunch in a brown bag (everything must be disposable). A snack will be provided so please do not send additional snacks. If your child stays at school past 1:30 (daycare, language class, etc.), please send an extra lunch that he/she will leave at school.
Student may bring a water bottle, wear a hat, or bring a sweater (although it might be warm), BUT they will be responsible for carrying the bottle, hat, or sweater around the place. Do not send money with your child as there are no places to buy things.
Have your child sleep early tonight. Students will be walking during the entire field trip.
If you have any questions or concerns, please send me an E-mail. I will check my work E-work between 7:00pm-8:00pm. If you have questions, please correspond with me prior to/during that period. If you E-mail me past 8:00pm, I may not get it until tomorrow morning.
The following parents are chaperones: Mrs. Duran, Mrs. Vu, Mr. Camesa, Mrs. Lazzara, and Mrs. Dang. Please go to the school office to grab your badges and meet us in front of the classroom at 9:00am. I will give you your list of students to chaperone/drive to Shipley at that time. Remember, during the field trip, the students whom I assign to you become your responsibility. Please make sure that the students in your group are following the rules and being respectful. No student is to go to the restroom alone, please send students in pairs even if only one needs to go to the restroom. You are also not a coat rack or water boy/girl, please do not hold the students’ belongings as they chose to bring those items to the trip; therefore, they need to carry it.
